Look at you, finding me on the internet! 🙌

I'm Carolyn!

Travel advisor, mixed media artist, and more.

I'm a multitalented person - what used to be called a "Renaissance man." Except, I'm not a man (my pronouns are she/her), and we thankfully live in a time of refrigeration and vaccines. In my "past lives," I've been a camp counselor, violin teacher, epidemiologist, flower farmer, wedding florist, qualitative researcher, and more. In all of my various types of work, I am primarily driven by connection and curiosity. I enjoy making connections with people, cultures, and the natural world.

What's My Deal?

I have owned my business in Seattle since 2018, and worked with primarily luxury clients for many years. (As in Renaissance times, my art and learning is funded by generous patrons - aka, luxury clients.) As times have changed, so has my business! From flower farming, to wedding floristry, to travel advising, some things are constant: I love to help people and actually connect with them beyond the client/provider relationship, I am extremely curious about the world, and I love to learn new things. I'm now solely doing travel advising, and it makes me really happy.

I don't believe you have to do one thing forever. In fact, most people change jobs every 3-5 years, which feels about right to me. Life and work are so much more interesting and fulfilling when you allow curiosity to lead. If you are like me, I highly recommend reading anything by Barbara Sher to embrace the life of a "scanner."

When I'm Not Traveling or Making Art, I'm:

  • Hanging with my husband and our geriatric fur baby, Wily (14)
  • At concerts, staying up way too late
  • Talking to my plants (they're thriving, thank you very much)
  • Weightlifting and getting swole (Wily is a bona fide gym celeb; we're just "Wily's parents" lol)
  • Getting lost in new cities and enthusiastically butchering local languages

Come Say Hi!

Everything I do is way more fun when we meet in person. In the meantime...
